Discipleship
Growing together in faith, friendship, and family.
One thing we’ve learned over the last couple of years is that relationships matter. ALL of our relationships. The ones we have with folks younger than us and the ones we have with folks older than us. In fact, our relationship with God is made better and deeper when we engage with God’s people.
At Lexington Park UMC, we believe that life is better together. While we love gathering for Sunday worship, our small groups and studies are where we truly pull up a chair and get to know one another. These are the spaces where we share our stories, learn from one another, and grow deeper in our faith. From our youngest disciples to our most seasoned members, there is a place here for you and your family to find a community that feels like home.
Small Groups
Kids Ministry
Our in-person children’s programs include a Nursery for infants and toddlers, as well as Kids Adventure Worship for children from preschool through 5th grade.
Each of these areas offers a dynamic environment for your child to play and interact while learning about the love of Jesus and Christian Community.
We take the safety of all persons seriously and ensure each space is staffed appropriately. For more information, contact office@lexingtonparkumc.org.
Youth Ministry
As we build programming in this area, your youth is welcome to worship in the sanctuary at 10 am and to join Young Life and other programing opportunities.
Adult Groups
We offer a variety of small group and bible study options throughout the year. Contact Paula, Director of Discipleship, at office@lexingtonparkumc.org for more information.
Interested in Baptism?
Baptism is an important ritual in the Christian faith. It is symbolic of God’s activity throughout the entire human landscape, of being reborn in Christ, and entering the life of the faith through the local church. Anyone who has not been baptized is encouraged to take this important step, regardless of age. Many parents choose to have their children baptized as infants or young children – symbolic of their dedication to raise their children to walk with Jesus until they are old enough to confirm their faith.
Pastor Anna will meet with you personally to guide you through the process and schedule a date for baptism before the congregation. Please contact her at pastorannaschwartz@gmail.com for more information.
Music Ministry
There is nothing like music to connect to God and to each other! Worship through music is the heartbeat of Lexington Park. We offer an exciting and diverse set of opportunities for anyone seeking to “make a joyful noise” to the Lord. Regardless of age or experience, whether you prefer contemporary music or something more traditional, or are looking for a short-term commitment or a permanent place to plug in, you will find your fit here.
Take a look at the possibilities below and contact Rachel Meador, Director of Music at office@lexingtonparkumc.org to find out more or how to get involved.
